Optus provide this service for ALL phones on Optus PrePaid.

On ANY Optus phone, simply send a text to 9999 with the word Balance in the message, and Optus will text you back your Balance, with a breakdown of how much data you have available too.

Admin that is rediculous. The service is not provided via Optus for the iPhone 3G. Learn to research your facts before you end an argument with incorrect or misleading information.

If you try using PwnageTool it SHOULD be fine… We’ve done it here with lots of different iPhones 2G and 3G and it’s always been ok, however some of the earlier 2G iPhones posed a little problem here and there but thanks to advances in the PwnageTool app, those problems are now few and far between…

Try PwnageTool or QuickPwn (the latter is more for noobies, and it holds your hand through the whole process)

Hello! Sorry if I’m such a n00b. I have an iPhone 2G (1st generation) and I had it jailbreaked and baseband unlocked more than a year ago. I now want to upgrade the firmware. Is it safe for me to restore using iTunes and then use quickpwn? Do I need to do a special restore to get the old 1.1.1 firmware/baseband or does iTunes clean it up even if it was jailbroken/unlocked? Almost all the guides now are for recent iPhones, hope you can answer my question. Thanks in advance!

I cannot get italk sync to work either. I have a iphone (not 3g) and imac (intel with 10.4.x). I have my iphone connected to a wireless network with the iTalk app running, and my computer connected to the internet (via ethernet…) and also I turned the airport on. But italk sync finds my iphone, and when I double click on it to connect it just stalls at “Connecting to blank’s iPhone” and “Please accept the sync connection from blankity on your iPhone.”

But I dont see any button or anything pop up on my iPhone that says anything like “accept”…

I have iphone 3g and windows xp service pack 3 and i am trying to connect addition’s iphone modem 2.

I downloaded the software on the computer and it does connect.
I jailbroke my phone and downloaded the software for the iphone.

the computer says it is connected.
the iphone says i get edge and wifi connection, but i do not get the connect option.

i can’t connect the iphone to the computer to get internet access.

can you please help?

Yeah I played it and is a great game, very funny, and I the posibility of showing online that I have bested my friends is a great felling. Also the game is actually 1.99 dolars not 2.49 so is better for the price.

This process works on all phones on the Australia Optus network (only) including iPhones.

For other networks, please consult your network provider.

You should be good to update to iPhone 2.2 software now, and use the latest version of QuickPwn. Then you can also unlock it too for all networks thanks to the Yellowsn0w unlock process now available.

Actually, our liquid case model fits both iphone 3g and classic. At $99, it’s probably the most expensive case on market, but you get what you pay for - custom painting and laser engraving are standard with each order.

Mapquest for iPhone works very well. Could use a little more prettier starting page, but you can’t tell it’s a web app.

Hi.. Currently, i’m using iphone 3G 2.1, and windows xp as well..

I’ve a problem.. everytime i tried to launch the quickpwn, it stated “The application failed to initialize properly. Click OK to terminate the program..

So, I could not even run the quickpwn.. this is the fourth time i downloaded the quickpwn file..

The new iTalk build update from the App store fixed my issues. Guess it was due to having “&” in my track names. Everything came down fine now! Thanks!

Get this problem with my iPhone 2.2 & have tried on a Vista machine, an XP machine & a Mac mini. Same Connection lost error at each.

Very bummed. Wish I’d installed another recording app.

It is ridiculous that Griffen put out a product that is inferior to the previous iJolt iTrip combo.

If I want to play my iPhone 3G through radio at work, and most places do not like to see phones out of pocket. Neither can I just take the transmitter with me and play songs on my iPhone through a friend’s car radio. Sure, there are many that have iPod connections, but not everyone does.

You should have paid attention to the engineers that told you not to make an inferior product Griffen.

I’ve come across a problem with this, I downloaded a few podcasts via the G3 network, then one day my usual podcast was over 10mb, the i-phone gleefully told me that i needed a wireless connection to download this, thats ok but i dont have a wireless home connection, so I thought I’ll remove this from the list, but I couldnt find a way of doing it, I thought I’d try to dock the iphone and syncing would sort this out, NO it didn’t now I cant download any more of my under 10 mb podcasts from the g3 network because I cant find a way of removing the older ones from the list. Anyone have any ideas ??
