Clearly this is an app for those of you who have Jailbroken your iPhone, but the great news is, now you can torrent directly from your iPhone (probably best to do that in a wifi zone!) and then play the downloaded files direct in the dTunes player.
Well worth checking out if you love TV shows and movies and download using torrent software usually on your Mac or PC.
Katra’s Weather HD is a great Winterboard theme for your iPhone Lockscreen. It will display a high quality photo of the current weather conditions on your Lockscreen.
To customize it with your town, you need to access through SSH and to edit the “configureMe.js” file in this directory: “/Library/Themes/Katra’s Weather HD.theme/Private”
You can find more details from the iSpazio Repository.
PocketLint reports: Get rid of all those pretty iPhone colours and graphics, and bring back the green and black block images of yesteryear.
You’ll get a warm feeling in your stomach just looking at it. Designer Rob Sheridan put together the theme (called iGameboy and available for download at MacThemes), and has also designed numerous icons for popular programmes like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
As you can see, there are two versions available for download - one with the Game Boy-esque buttons on the bottom, and one without, so you can choose whichever you prefer and then enjoy reliving gaming like it was in the good ol’ days.
Obviously, this will only work with iPhones belonging to you naughty jailbreakers!
You can see from the video in this post, that the iPhone Dev Team have really started to crack the baseband issues with the iPhone 3G. Hopefully it won’t be too long before they’ve unlocked it!
BigBoss recently announced, from his new website location, that he and Ipodtouchmaster have been working on a new app called SBSettings. In his words this app has “taken BossPrefs to the next level”.
SBSettings currently has all the original features of BossPrefs but is also adding a few others. The main thing that sets it apart is the fact that you can be inside any program and to open it all you have to do is swipe the statusbar and it opens the app fast and easy.
So if 3g isn’t turned on and you are in Safari, no reason to close it just swipe and enable 3g! You can still add your own modules as needed just like in BossPrefs. There are supposed to be several other features they haven’t announced yet and will soon have a beta available.
The iPhone Dev Team have made significant progress this week, by successfully modding the baseband on the iPhone 3G… While its still failing integrity checks, it is functioning OK.
It’s impossible to say how close they are to completing the unlock process for the iPhone 3G, but this is a big step… Stay Tuned!
After much speculation that the iPhone could run Windows Mobile, its been revealed that this was a hoax. Thankfully, it turned out to be a hoax, folks at Gear Log have figured out that it is part of a viral marketing campaign from Sonic Emotion, a maker of surround-sound systems for PCs, handhelds, and other things that need surround sound as none of the facts added up.
The iPhone headphone socket has a little contact switch inside it that tells the iPhone to switch from external audio to headphones audio when plugged in. Sometimes this can get some dust or fluff underneath the contact and the iPhone or iPhone 3G can get jammed in headphones mode.
To cure this, one suggestion from Apple Technicians is to insert and retract the headphone jack a few times to dislodge the dust or fluff and clear the contacts in the iPhone.
Be gentle, you don’t want to break your iPhone or Headphones.

Independent developer Bas Tossings has released a charming new iPhone game called Loopy Laboratory. While it’s not entirely perfect, after playing too many half-finished games and glorified tech demos, it was refreshing to finally see a game with some depth and character. One iTunes reviewer has described this as a remake of Chip’s Challenge/Tile World which it does seem to resemble though the developer says he was inspired by a number of older puzzle games which came together for this project.
The gameplay video shows a few of the early levels (3, 6, 7) and a later level (31). Note that the conveyor belt does not video tape well (grey moving walkway). [toucharcade]
