Boy Genius Report has just reported that they have received a tip from a “reliable source” that the new version of iTunes 9 will include some exciting new features.
They claim that the new version of iTunes could include Blu-ray support, give users the ability to visually organize and arrange iPhone apps within iTunes and some kind of integration with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and possibly Last.fm.
The Blu-ray support in iTunes 9 seems to be in line with another rumor we have heard about Apple integrating blu-ray in next generation iMacs.
The integration with social networking sites could mean broadcasting of the currently playing song to social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook etc along with a link to buy the song in iTunes. MG Siegler of TechCrunch believes this could mean some significant sales.
