Thanks to the iPhone Dev Team, the new Jailbreak Software for iPhone 3.0 is now available to Jailbreak is simple and quick. We’ve successfully completed the Jailbreak on iPhone 3G running OS 3.0.
However, PLEASE refer the iPhone Dev Team’s site for full instructions should you get stuck.
NOTE: We did brick our iPhone twice before this actually worked, so this process is not without peril. But the iPhone Dev Team will be releasing updates to their PWNAGE TOOL and QUICK PWN over the next few days, so be sure to keep checking back.
1. Download the PwnageTool app
2. Run the PwnageTool app
3. Create IPSW file for iPhone 3.0
4. Restore your iPhone with the new IPSW file
5. Voilá! iPhone 3.0 with Jailbreak
PLEASE NOTE: iPhone 3.0 is a few days old, and the iPhone Dev Team’s amazing work has only been tested for an even shorter time, so please attempt this if you feel you are competent to do so. We bricked our iPhone twice in this test process, but thankfully we were able to unbrick and try again. Not everyone possess the technical knowhow to unbrick an iPhone should your hacking go wrong, so please be careful, and refer to the iPhone Dev Team’s website for exact instructions and help. We accept no responsibility should this process break your iPhone.
