Google last week purchased 1,000,000 empty phone numbers in the build up to launching Google Voice. Google Voice will be your ‘one number’ for everything no matter where you are in the world, and thanks to Google’s network, we are assuming all calls to Google Voice numbers will carry the same cost, thus eradicating international call costs forever.
Google Voice is currently in private beta and is expected to make a big debut on iPhone, Android and PC’s very soon.
