When downloading apps eariler today, we found there is now a pop up for apps aimed at over 17 year olds. Seeing as Apple have a zero tolerance stance on pretty much anything over PG-13, I’m not sure what apps fall in to this category. This pop up occurred when updating Star Defense, which is very ‘PG’… Was this pop up a bug? Could this be a sign that Apple are planning on releasing adult content apps soon? Lets hope not.

There are a bunch of CraigsList apps that don’t allow you to view pictures on the listings because apple won’t allow adult content and the app can’t distinguish between adult and non-adult pics. This could enable CraigsList apps that allow you to turn on or off adult content so you can see the pics. The apps themselves may therefore be restricted to 17+.

This message already came up back in 2.2 when i downloaded ipint. I think now they require all apps to have ratings for the new parental control system (for apps) to work.
