    Hello All.
I upgraded my 3g iphone to 2.2.1 firmware by mistake, and now I can’t jailbreak the iphone by pwnage or quickpwn.
I’ve a 3g factory unlocked iphone, which is Singapore base.
for a officially factory unlock iphone, you still can perform the latest firmware by Apple, it will not lock back, provided you use your original Itunes. I’ve tried using US itunes to update the iphone firmware with Officially unlocked iphone, And it Locked the iphone and without carrier signal.

I could kick my own ass 10x sideways for downloading that update 2.2.1. For all the money I dumped into mac their dev. team and hierarchy stuff it in the rear to those who like free range use of their dear electronics. Rode hard and put away wet.

    F*** You Apple

Sincerely 1 customer who is about $10,000 hard earned dollars into ya

Hei Chris, I’m about to go to Singapore next 2 weeks to buy an iPhone 3G. By reading your comment above I assume that the factory unlocked iPhone bought in Singapore should not get updated unless it’s being updated using the local iTunes (which in this case Indonesian store, since I’m from Indonesia), correct?

By the way, can you tell me the difference between the factory unlocked version of iPhone with the regular one? I mean like physically or things like that. How can you tell which one is which when you are in the store (in Singapore)? Did the store clerk give you such info?

Lastly, where in Singapore did you buy your iPhone? Do you remember the store’s name and the address? Please help me because I really need the info right away. My departure for Singapore is in 14 days.

You can email me though at: via(at)homs.cc
    Thank you so much.
