[ipodnn] Mark/Space has launched Fliq, a social networking app for the iPhone and iPod touch. Users can send photos and contacts to one another in real-time, without using e-mail, SMS or instant messaging configurations. Content can also be shared with anyone on the same Wi-Fi network. Users select the image or they want to send, pick the person that they want to send it to, and use a flick gesture to transfer the material.
When sending contact information, virtual buttons are provided to transmit all personal information, only work details, or only home info. Fliq is available for free from iTunes, with future versions promised to offer transfer to a Mac or PC.

this only works with iPhones… not other mobile brands

I won’t be impressed until my iphone plays nicely with other phone brands as well.

I totally agree, i mean seriously… WHY cant an iPhone do a simple sending of a contact like my 5 year old Nokia???

We are currently working on apps that will let you Fliq to and from a Mac or PC.
We’ve gotten lots of requests to create Fliq for other phones. We definitely want to do that!
